Sergei Rachmaninov:

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov

Transcript:"Flight of the Bumblebee" from "Tale of Tsar Saltan" (2 Versions)

Two different acustic situations:

This parallel recording comtpares the very dry, precise studio sound (here in the acoustics of the Teldex studio and the sound of a New York Steinway from the 1950s), with a sound that one might expect in a modern concert hall (here the acoustics of the Berlin Philharmony and a current German Steinway D).

Two Versions of the same Composition:

The piece is played in many versions as a bravura piece. As an example, you can hear a version I have already produced for violin and piano here.
